Healthcare: A Multifaceted Industry
Healthcare portal development requires a multi-tier solution that can manage access based on role, and function smoothly across the levels. The healthcare portal requires employee management, supplier management as well as partner management so it can help manage staff, treat patients, get medical supplies, and partner with laboratories.
Patients will be able to schedule appointments based on the doctors’ availability for non emergent and/or regular checkups.
Patients get access to all their reports so they can see the changes in their reports and have a full map of their health. It is a repository of a patient’s blood work, X-Rays, and any other scans and reports they need in the course of their treatment.
Health Record Management
Patients get a view right to this module so they can get a bird’s eye view of their health data, the changes, treatment progress, reports, medications, etc. along with their insurance data.
When being in the hospital is not possible or necessary, the healthcare portal’s online live consultation feature lets patients connect to their doctors via the hospital they are associated with.
Patients get notifications and reminders for regular checkups, for necessary tests, report pick up, etc. It takes the hassle out of remembering checkup routines. This can help when patients have a more permanent issue like diabetes or blood pressure.
Patients are able to invoke their insurance claims from within the portal and make payments to the hospital.
After the initial onboarding, patient’s health details can be managed by the assigned doctors. They can update their daily consultations in their profile and get an overall view of their health from onboarding to discharge. The assigned doctor can update and monitor daily changes of the patient including symptoms, medicine reactions, surgeries, and lab reports.
Doctors can manage their own profiles on the portal. They can add papers they publish, research they conduct, see the list of their patients, schedule, etc. This can give a better idea to the patient about the doctor they are working with.
Doctors can see their patient appointments and surgeries that are assigned to them on a daily and weekly basis so they can get an overview of their timings and if they need to plan for research time. They can also see when they are on call once the admin makes schedules for the staff.
Doctors will be able to keep a track of paid and pending fees that the hospital will forward. If the doctor is a visiting doctor rather than a permanent employee of the hospital, they will also be able to put in their weekly working hours for correct payments from the hospital.
Administrative staff can manage the onboarding of doctors, keep track of their schedules, surgeries, research work, etc. The admin department can also manage the schedule for each doctor in the hospital, and assign them to patients accordingly.
They can onboard patients with all their information or health and insurance. This helps them assign the right doctors to the patients. Admin can also add the patient’s medication information, allergies, and treatment path to their profile. Admin can manage the discharge process as well.
Admin can manage schedules for doctors and nursing staff as well as set surgery schedules for an emergency, and non-urgent ones. Apart from surgeries they can manage a doctor’s schedule for consultations and checkups.
Admin can manage all the licenses, permits, patients’ nondisclosures, doctors’ qualification certificates as well as their registrations and more from the legal module of a healthcare portal. Similarly this also includes consent forms for surgeries, DNRs and organ donation forms. This makes important legal documents easily accessible to the concerned parties while maintaining the utmost data security.
Along with other details of the patients, the admin has the rights to update lab reports to the patient’s profile so doctors and patients always get a current overview on their health data.
Admin can manage invoices that need to go out to the patient, the fees that need to be paid to the doctor, and manage insurance details.
Medical Supply Management
Admin can keep track of medical supplies in the hospital and manage orders from right within the portal.
